Award Recognition for Vaccine Innovation

KyooBe receives DECHEMA Innovation Award

DECHEMA honors KyooBe Tech’s eFIT Technology

Innovation Award for Chemical-Free Pathogen Inactivation

KyooBe Tech has been selected as the first recipient of the DECHEMA Innovation Award. The award recognizes the company’s innovative electron Fast Inactivation Technology (eFIT), a low-energy electron irradiation (LEEI) process for the rapid, chemical-free inactivation of pathogens used in vaccine development. The award honors the achievements of KyooBe Tech’s interdisciplinary team and recognizes the technology’s significant contribution to advancing engineering and life sciences.

The official award ceremony will take place during the DECHEMA FORUM on September 16, 2026, in Frankfurt, Germany.

As part of the event, Lena Schober, Director Business Development & Applications at KyooBe Tech, will present the award-winning technology in her talk, „Low-Energy Electron Irradiation – A Rapid and Chemical-Free Approach to Pathogen Inactivation.“

Any questions about Pathogen Inactivation with eFIT Technlogy?

Unlike conventional chemical inactivation methods, eFIT fragments the nucleic acids of viruses, bacteria, and parasites while largely preserving their surface proteins. The continuous process achieves pathogen inactivation in less than one second, enabling a faster and potentially gentler approach to producing inactivated vaccines.
